LEAF SPOT(FUNGAL)The disease starts as minute, dull violet black or black spots. Soon the region surrounding the spot turns yellow. The spot enlarges and turns from black to dull purplish-black or aniline-black. The spots coalesce to form bigger spots. Later, major part of the leaf becomes spotted and fall off. The fruits show dark brown to black depressed spots, which enlarge and coalesce covering the large portion of fruit.

Spraying of Bavistin or JK stein @0.1 per cent at 20 days intervals is quite effective. Mixing of antibiotics like Agrimycin or Paushamycin with above fungicides will control both bacterial and fungal infections.
