| WHITE RUST
| Symptoms: Prominent white pustules appear on the surface of leaves, stem and inflorescences. Marked swelling and distortion of the affected plant parts are common. Inflorescence may increase 12 to 15 times than normal size. Flower parts are deformed. Infected plants are stunted.
| Spray Dithane M-45 (0.2%) or Difolatan (0.3%) at 8-10 days interval.

| DOWNY MILDEW | Infects stem, leaves and flowers. Effect on plant is similar to that caused by white rust. However, produces greatest deformities on the stem. Thin greyish- white downy fungal growth occurs on under surface of leaves while corresponding upper surface have white spots. Infected leaves dry up, shrivel and fall off. Flower parts are deformed.
| Spray Blitox/ Blue Copper (0.4%) or Dithane M-45 (0.2%) or Difolatan (0.3%) at 8-10 days interval.

| BLACK ROT OF CRUCIFERS |
Development of 'V' shaped chlorotic to yellow lesions from the leaf margin. The veins and veinlets turn black and the leaf tissue necrotic and brittle. Lesions progress towards the mid ribs and from these, systemic infection further spreads into stem & root. Vascular tissures in affected plants become conspicuously black followed by internal breakdown of fleshy tissues. Black sunken develop on succulent seed stocks and siliquas. Heads are discoloured and young plants may be killed in the seen bed. | 1. Seed treatment with hot water at 500 C for 30 minutes.
2. Seed treatment for 30 minutes with plantomycin (0.01%) or Agrimycin -100 (0.01%).
3. Spraying with Agrimycin -100 (0.01%) or stable bleaching (0.05%).
